Does toothpaste get rid of pimples? What a question, who would have ever thought of using toothpaste on pimples?
Nevertheless, toothpaste for pimples seems to be a common pimple home remedy, and one that I can tell you has worked for me. In my teenage years, I had my fair share of pimples, chin pimples were my main enemy. I tried a number of home remedies, and truly the best one for getting rid of pimples overnight was toothpaste on the pimples.
I’m not exactly sure what it is about toothpaste and pimples that makes it work, but it does. It seems to dry the skin, and often times makes a huge difference overnight.
It is best to apply just a bit of toothpaste to the pimples right before bed. Rub it in lightly so it forms a thin film. Then go to bed with your toothpaste and pimples. When you wake up, you will have a dried out pimple, sometimes with a thin crust of toothpaste on it still. Take a warm washcloth and gently wash the toothpaste off.
With a little luck, the toothpaste pimple cure will have done the trick. At the very least, it should reduce the severity of your pimple.
Now don’t go jumping for joy here, this is no magic cure by any means. Toothpaste on pimples does work, but not all the time, it seems to be a bit hit and miss. Also, I don’t know that I would recommend using this trick for large areas, it is kind of a spot remover. If you are looking for pimple home remedies, though, this is one I have tried and can say it does work for me.
Does toothpaste get rid of pimples? My verdict is yes.
